Règlement du concours

• Le concours prendra fin le 30/06/2010 à minuit.
• Postez vos oeuvres sur le forum CFSL : http://forum.cfsl.net/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=61948
• Le(s) lot(s) seront attribués aux personnes dont les œuvres auront été choisies par l’artiste, Matteo De Longis.

Mekaneko – Story

Créé par Matteo DE LONGIS , character-designer et musicien, MEKANEKO est un petit chat mécanique articulé né dans “SKY DOLL SPACESHIP COLLECTION”. Fourni avec un mini artbook et une planche de stickers pour le customiser, il vous est actuellement proposé en 2 versions classiques (White Pearl et Acid Black Metal), limitées à 800 ex – et une version collector ARTOYZ .

MEKANEKO ARTOYZ Version - April 26th !

✚ A new special "Artoyz" version of the Mekaneko will be available at last from
Monday 26th April on the Artoyz.com

✚ Et voici une nouvelle version "Artoyz" du Mekaneko qui sera finalement disponible dès le lundi 26 avril sur le site Artoyz.com

✚ It will be a limited edition of only 200 pieces created by Matteo De Longis in exclusive for them.

✚ Il s'agira d'un tirage limité de 200 exemplaires , créé par Matteo De Longis tout spécialement pour eux.

✚ The Mekaneko is half white and half black, with the anatomical parts highlighter by the graphics.
In the darker part of the body, the black paint has a satin-finished look with overlapping of shiny black lacquered inserts. On the other hand, the white part highlights with a silver finish the "anatomical" part of the toyz.

✚ Le Mekaneko est moité blanc , moitié noir , des parties anatomiques sont misent en évidence par le design graphique.
La partie sombre du corps , noire ,a un rendu satiné avec des superpositions d'inserts noirs-brillants. A l'inverse , la partie blanche exalte d' une couleur argentée la partie anatomique du toyz.

✚ The design for this version was inspired by a mecchanical-anatomical illustration inserted in the toyz bookled, as you see in the picture.

Ciou exhibition & signing this weekend !

✚ A short post to make you aware that this weekend, starting from today, Ciou and Bianco will be signing their book "Chat Siamois" here, at the Rencontres de la 9É Art" -
Aix en Provence (France).

✚ Un petit post pour vous signaler que ce week end , (aujourd'hui compris) , Ciou et Bianco signerons le livre "Chat Siamois" , ici-même , aux "Rencontres de la 9É Art" à Aix en Provence (France).

✚ The meeting with these two authors will last until Sunday the 11th April, with conferences and shows of part of Tim Burton's filmography in cinema halls.
If you want to know more about this, all the info is HERE.
If you want to buy the book and meet Coiu and Guillame you can find them, at Cité du Livre every afternoon.

✚ Le rendez-vous avec ces deux auteurs durera jusqu'au dimanche 11 avril , avec rencontres, débats ainsi que des réactions sur différentes parties de la filmographie de Tim Burton en salle de cinéma.

✚ On 26th March Ciou's exhibit was opened, as a matter of fact, at the Susini gallery: here's the pictures of the vernissage.
The exhibit will still be open for a week, until the 17th April.

✚ Le 26 mars dernier , c'est passé l'inauguration de l'exposition de Ciou.
Voici quelques photos du vernissage à la "gallerie Susini".
L'expo restera encore visible une semaine , jusqu'au 17 avril.

✚ The exhibition space is beautiful and Ciou has painted with a fresco most of the gallery with shapeless and fantasy characters.
It's really striking, then, to be immerged in this deam-like univers of hers.

✚ L'espace consacré à l'expo est très joli et Ciou a même dessiné des fresques à même le mur , avec ses personnages amorphes et fantastiques.
Un régal si l'on aime s'immerger dans son univers onirique...

✚ The works of this artists which are shown come both from the book published with Venusdea (on the second floor of the building original drawings from the book and its cover are shown and for sale) and from more recent works of this artist, independently of the book (on the main floor)

✚ Les oeuvres exposées sont pour une partie extraites du livre "Chat Siamois" publié par Venusdea (au second étage de la gallerie vous trouverez les dits dessins en ventes ainsi que le dessin original de la couverture du livre ), d'autres sont des oeuvres plus récentes de Ciou , indépendantes du livre (au rez-de chuassé , dans la salle principale...).

NEWS ! NEWS !

✚ And at last I'm back on this blog, which was idle for a few months. But not so the label obviously, on the opposite! I just didn't have the time to write some posts, because work, signing tours and projects are so many and so intense for everybody that the blog has suffered a bit becuase of this. We made some (positive) changes with some vendors and we have better re-organized our staff and the label itself at their best. Soon you will find the products also on Diamond Preview in the United States and soon also on many topic-related magazines.
In a short time (it's a matter of days) the venusdea' website , where you can order all of our products directly, will be online.

✚ Finalement de retour sur ce blog , qui est resté en stand by durant quelques mois!
Mais ce n'est pas le cas du label évidemment! Au contraire!
Le temps m'a fait défaut , travail , dédicaces projets , autant de choses intenses qui ont un peu fais souffrir ce blog. Nous avons effectués des changements (positifs) avec de nombreux distributeurs et donc ré-optimisés au mieux tout le staff autour du label.
Vous trouverez et vous pourrez acheter prochainement les ouvrages Venusdea sur Diamond Preview (pour les Etats Unis) et également sur différentes revues du secteur.

Dans très peu de temps , (quelques jours à peine) , le site venusdea verra finalement le jour et vous pourrez y commander directement tous les ouvrages.

✚ So, I will try to make posts closer in time, telling you about all the events that have taken place, with amazing photos, in the next weeks. Having said so, follow this blog more often, because from now on it will be updated on a weekly basis.

And , here above a small avant premiere (sneak preview) of a custom by Matteo De Longis with "Mekaneko" , for one of the many Expo Venusdea held this year.

✚ I start with telling you that in a few days, at the "Rencontres de la 9É Art".
The first Expo "solo" by Ciou connected to her work for the Venusdea "Chat Siamois" book, will be held.
I will be there, with Ciou and also the author of the story of "Chat Siamois", Guillaume Bianco. I am waiting for you all at the gallery!

Ciou exhibition & singning : 26th March at the Gallery Susini.
With the opening and the vernissage starting from 6:00 PM.

✚ I'd like to briefly introduce Ciou again,for those of you who don't know her already

Ciou hails from Paris, France.
Her work features the admittedly well worn standard of spooky girls and their animals consorts, however Ciou’s unapologetic punk style (reminiscent of teenage notebook scrawls dialed up to 11) breathes a new brash life into the theme. Her sweet and sour heavy metal nymphs live out their wild carnivalesque fairytales on found vintage papers, taken from old medical books, dictionaries, and nature manuals. Her line-work is by turns thickly layered like decadent rocker girl eyeliner and then meticulously thin and ornate like stitchwork. Ciou has exhibited in Paris, Amsterdam ,Brussels, Toulouse, Berlin, Los Angeles, Rome and Barcelona.
She also has about of her work entitled “Chat Siamos” for Venusdea Label.

✚ Ciou just finished her gorgeous Expo at the Gallery Roq la Rue with incredible success ! Most of her pieces of work have been sold. What else to add then? We're all happy..

✚ Ciou vient de terminer sa magnifique expo à la galerie Roq la Rue, qui a connu un très grand succès! Presque toutes ses pièces ont quasi été vendues.
Que dire , sinon que nous en sommes très contents pour elle...

Je vous attends tous à Aix en Provence, donc, dans les prochains jours.
